WEEK 10 RECAP

Freshman Division Championship – Game 1

Wild 12 Devils 2

The Wild’s Ryan Moshes scored 5 goals and added an assist while Leon Guven scored two and that was all she wrote as the Wild take Game 1 with force. Colin Jewels scored twice in the loss for the Devils.

Sophomore Division Semifinals

Senators 10 Red Wings 6

The Senators and Division M.V.P. AJ Navarro were too hot to handle as AJ recorded 4 goals and 2 assists in the game. Brayden Padula finished with a hat trick and 2 assists and Niko Grupposo played superb between the pipes limited Division High Scorer, Christopher Keane to just 2 goals. Rocco Avena finished with a goal and an assist but the Red Wings take the L and their Spring Season comes to an end.

Junior Division Championship – Game 2

Canucks 6 - Golden Knights 3

After taking Game 1, the Canucks jumped out into an early 4-0 lead and it wasn’t looking pretty for the #1 Seed Golden Knights. However, they stormed back in the second half scoring 3 times and were led by Division M.V.P. Nico Buglione, who recorded 2 goals and an assist. Unfortunately, for them, they were facing Anthony Gomez, one of the best tendies to suit up at BMRH, and he shut the door on any late comeback. Colin Hite recorded 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists) to help lead the Canucks to the promised land.

Freshman Division Championship – Game 2

Wild 13Devils 1

Ryan Moshes had yet another breakout game and led the Wild to the Division Championship. He scored 4 goals, and Joseph Scalise recorded a hat trick and 2 assists while Aiden Dwojak shut the door once again between the pipes.

Sophomore Division Championship – Game 1

Ducks 8Senators 7OT

There is no better way to cap off a Championship Series than to watch a back-and-forth chess match, that eventually ends in extra time. At the half the Ducks led by 1 but the Senators started to make their moves ½ way through the 2nd half. Division M.V.P. AJ Navarro scored 5 goals and Brayden Padula added 2, and 3 assists. Both of Padula’s goals came late in the half as the Sens took a 2-goal lead with just 3 minutes to play. The Ducks showed no quit as Matthew Vlahakis scored two goals (4 goals, 1 assist, on the evening) to tie it all up. We were headed to overtime. What figured to be a long enough based off the way these two teams battled, a strip of the puck, and a sprint to the next as Michael Liguori got his own rebound from the breakaway and gave the Ducks a 1-0 lead in the series.

SOPHOMORE DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP – GAME 2

Senators 9 - Ducks 6

In a much needed win, the Senators Brayden Padula scored 6 goals to lead them to a winner-take-all Game 3, on Monday Night. Aj Navarro also came up big, yet again for the Sens, as he recorded 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) as well. The Ducks Game 1 hero, Michael Liguori scored twice and Matthew Vlahakis recorded a hat trick in the 2nd half of this game.
