WEEK 2 RECAP
Blues 7 Sharks 6
The Blues jumped out to an early 4-1 lead as Matteo Tseretopoulos completed a hat-trick in the 1st period. The Sharks fought back by the help of Aiden Farraher and Sofia Anselmo as they both recorded 2 goals. Tseretopoulos was too much to handle as he scored two more goals in the game and ended the evening with 5 total.
Kraken 8 Predators 3
After a tight played game in the first half, the Kraken opened it up and tallied a number of 2nd half goals. Erik Lanzer, Brian Justiniano and Aidan Masten led the way all recording 3 points on the evening. For the Preds, Ben Margulies goal streak remained in tack and Nelson Bautista remained hot recording 3 more points on the young season.
Coyotes 8 Golden Knights 5
The Golden Knights jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but that only woke the Coyotes up as they scored 5 unanswered goals. Kevin Canto, Conner Skewes and Dylan Cochrane all recorded 2 goals each on the evening which was enough to outlast the Golden Knights Dominic Casella and his recorded a hat-trick.
Penguins 11 Ducks 9
The Penguins jumped out to a 6-3 lead at the end of the first but it didn’t stop the Ducks from making this one interesting as they battled back in both the 2nd and 3rd periods. Logan Maslauskas scored 4 goals while Christopher Mazzie recorded 4 points in the comeback for the Ducks that eventually fell short. Jordan Lass had an impressive 4-goal game along with 2-goal performances from Thomas Ryan and Lucas Dipasquale that led to the Pens victory.
Avalanche 8 Red Wings 7
This was a great hockey that went back and forth until the wire. Jack Drew (6 goals) and Rocco Avena (2 goals) paved the way to secure the Avs win. Aj Navarro had a big game for the Wings as he ended the night with 5 total points.
Stars 6 Capitals 5
The Stars jumped out to a nice lead as Anthony Menechino and Matthew Maran each recorded 2 goals. The Caps fought back scoring 2 late power play goals (Nicholas Brent and Shane Renyak) but the play of Dominick Safuto between the pipes was enough to hold off the late push by the Caps.
Sharks 10 Wild 8
The Sharks record their first victory of the season. Their 3rd line had a phenomenal game as they recorded a total of 6 goals in this one. Jase Kavanagh recorded his first career hat trick at just 6-years old! Landon Gallagher who is not too far behind him, recorded 2 goals, one being the game winner. For the Wild, Brayden Padula and Lucas Senicola led the way with 2 goals each.
Predators 13 Golden Knights 10
Both teams were short a number of players but those who attended, did not disappoint as this game was a wild one. Dan Daly scored his personal best 6 goals in a BMRH game while Shane Russo recorded 5 (plus 4 assists) to help pave the way for the Predators victory. Jourdan Luskoff led the Golden Knights evening with 4 goals and an assist.
Kraken 8 Coyotes 2
Erik Lanzer continues his goal scoring serge as he recorded a hat trick and added 2 assists to complete his 5-point night.
Red Wings 8 Avalanche 3
We still can’t believe this game got played as the skies were dark and drizzle occurred throughout most of the early evening. Luckily the high winds kept the surface dry long enough for the Wings to be victorious. William Gavinovich led the Wings with a hat-trick and Thomas Primrose return between the pipes was superb. For the Avs, Jack Drew added to his league leading point total as he recorded 2 goals, one being the “Michigan”…not a big deal.
