WEEK 2 RECAP
Bruins 8 - Lightning 0
The Bruins Aiden Dwojak earns the 1st BMRH shutout of the season as the B's dominated the entire game. Finnley Lockhart led the way recording a hat trick while Ethan Banks, Jase Kavanagh and Robert DiMonda all scored two goals a piece. Jaxon Dwojak scored and added 2 assists.
Canadiens 11 - Blues 4
The Canadiens Logan Maslauskas scored 4 goals while teammate Alex Distefano finished with a hat trick. The Blues Brendan Hoefenkrieg recorded a hat trick while Gavin Kane added another. The Canadiens move to 2-0 while the Blues take their first loss of the season.
Panthers 9 - Ducks 1
The Panthers beat up a short-handed Ducks squad as they jumped out to a 7-0 lead at the half. Vincent Catalfomo led the way scoring 5 goals. Jack Sarosy, Ben Margulies and Anthony Catanzarita also scored. The Ducks lone goal was scored by Hunter Paul.
Flyers 9 - Hurricanes 1
The Flyers are flying high and took sole possession of 1st place after earning the victory. Brady Weiner led the Flyers with 4 points (2 goals and 2 assists). Sam Stawinski recorded a hat trick while teammates Jack Menelly (2 assists) and John Montefusco (2 goals) added to the mix. Daniel Godek earns his 3rd win between the pipes and lowers his goals against average to 3.00. The Canes lone goal scorer was Jackson Banke who now has 8 goals and 3 assists on the season.
Canadiens 12 - Stars 7
On back to back nights, the Canadiens earn the dub and move to 3-0 on the season. Alex Distefano led the way recording 6 points (4 goals and 2 assists). Other contributors were Lincoln Kelly (2 goals), Logan Maslauskas (2 goals and 2 assists) and Margo Chaffey who scored her 1st goal of the season. For the Stars, William Gavinovich continues to lead the team in scoring as he tallied 7 points (4 goals and 3 assists).
Penguins 12 - Jets 4
The Penguins strike again winning their 2nd in a row as Patrick Casserly scored 6 times and added an assist. Aidan Kavanagh tallied 2 goals while Peyton Paul and Nicholas Liguori added 2 assists each. For the Jets, Brayden Padula added his 12th and 13th goals of the season while Brian Barrerra added two more of his own to give him 8, this season.
Hurricanes 8 - Lightning 0
After a loss the night before, the Canes bounced back to earn their 3 W of the season. All around team effort as they had 7 different goal scorers: Thomas Pagnanelli (2), Luca Campana, Quinn Miller, Landon Gallagher, Andrew Rapp, Collin Jewels, and Will Terjesen. Tendy Matthew Messerole earned the shutout in his 1st appearance of the season.
Kings 7 - Blues 5
Division leading goal scorer Matthew Vlahakis was to hot to handle as he recorded all 7 goals for the Kings. The Blues Brendan Hoefenkrieg recorded another hat trick and teammate Christopher Keane finished with 2.
Bruins 8 - Flyers 7
This could go down as by far, the best Freshman game of the season! The Flyers led after 1, they led after 2, but the B's stormed back scoring 3 times in the 3rd to knock off the undefeated Flyers. Robert DiMonda scored 4 times while linemate Jase Kavanagh recorded the game-winner with less than a minute to go in the game. He ended with 3 points (2 goals and an assist). In the loss, John Montefusco and Sam Stawinski each recorded two goals.
Blues 8 - Jets 0
After suffering 2 losses earlier in the week, the Blues bounced back and took care of business vs a short-handed Jets squad. Christopher Keane led the way scoring 4 times and adding an assist. Brendan Hoefenkrieg recorded 3 points (2 goals and an assist), while Michael Shevlin and Spencer Posner recorded their first goals of the season.
Blue Jackets 8 - Panthers 7 OT
Shane Russo led the Jackets in this OT thriller as he scored 4 times and assisted on 3 others, including the game-winner by Adam Rosman. In the loss, a tremendous night from Anthony Catanzarita as he also recorded 7 points (4 goals and 3 assists).
