WEEK 2 RECAP
Kings 14 – Panthers 9
The Kings roll to earn their second victory of the season. Sam Stawinski led the way scoring 7 times! Matteo Tseretopoulos and Jackson Banke both recorded hat tricks while Jackson added 3 assists to cap off a 5-point game. Sarosh Hasan recorded a hat trick for the Panthers and also tallied an assist. Mason Kun finished with 3 points (2 goals and an assist) in her first game at BMRH.
Red Wings 8 – Kraken 3
Another team effort for the Wings as they had 5 different goal scorers: Vincent Lane (2 goals, 1 assist), Christopher Keane (2 goals, 1 assist), Lincoln Kelly (2 goals) and Rocco Avena (1 goal). The Wings improve to 2-0. For the Kraken, Justin Primrose scored twice, in the loss.
Sabres 6 – Canucks 1
The Sabres win the first Junior Division Game of the season. Fall League MVP, Anthony Catanzarita, led the way scoring 4 goals while teammate, Erik Lanzer finished with a goal and 3 assists. Thomas Primrose stood his ground between the pipes only allowing 1 goal by the Canucks Jack Sarosy.
Oilers 4 – Wild 1
We finally witnessed a defensive battle as the Oilers earn the dub. Anthony Commisso led the way recording 2 goals while Robert DiMonda and Matthew Forresta also scored. The lone goal for the Wild was recorded by Leon Guven. Kudos to both tendies in this one: Aiden Dwojak (L) and James Carlin (W) for making lots of saves in the low scoring affair.
Ducks 9 – Predators 3
The Ducks move to 2-0 as their high-flying offense has got off to a hot start this season. Reigning MVP, Matthew Vlahakis returned to the lineup and led the way with 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists). Teammates Nicholas Liguori (2 goals, 2 assists) and Jackson DiPasquale (2 goals) had big games while Christopher Buckheit suited up and stood his ground between the pipes. The Preds had 3 different goal scorers on the evening: Brenden Hoefenkrieg, Enver Ospedales, and Michael Shevlin.
Golden Knights 8 – Flames 0
The Golden Knights took advantage of a short-handed team that also did not have a goaltender. Shoutout to Nicholas Urso for putting on the pads and taking one for the team. Jack Purcell led the Knights with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) while James Pelini finished with 3 points (2 goals and an assist).
Devils 11 – Coyotes 10
The Devs led 8-5, heading in to the 3rd Period, but the Yotes stormed back scoring 5 times, only to fall short in this exciting matchup. Quinn Miller led the Devs lighting the lamp 4 times. Jack Kraus recorded 4 assists while brother, Joseph Kraus recorded a hat trick. For the Yotes, Nikolas Kossack recorded a hat trick and had an assist, Lucas Folchetti-Puglin finished with 2 goals and 2 assists, and Jason Licht had 2 goals and an assist.
Capitals 12 – Avalanche 7
The Caps scored 7 in the 1st and never looked back as they improve to 1-0-1 on the season. Jordan Lass recorded 6 points (5 goals, 1 assist) and teammate, Lucas Senicola, scored 5 as well. In the loss, the Avs Frank Brown recorded a hat trick and Tyler Moshes finished with 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists).
Devils 5 – Wild 4
The Wild were on their way to their first W of the season but the Devils fought back, scoring four 3rd period goals to earn their 2nd victory of the season. Jack Kraus scored 2 goals and an assist and Colin Jewels scored twice, his second ultimately being the game-winner with only 3 seconds left in the shift.
Ducks 11 – Capitals 10
Another high scoring game in our Sophomore Division as the Ducks squeaked by the Caps. Matthew Vlahakis recorded 7 points (4 goals and 3 assists) and Michael Liguori finished with 4 points (1 goal and 3 assists) as the Ducks improve to 3-0. Aidan Kregler made his Caps debut and it was a great effort as he led with 5 goals. Noah Corcoran added 5 assists as the Caps suffer their first regulation loss of the season.
Red Wings 9 – Predators 6
The Wings win their 3rd in a row as Christopher Keane records 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists). Rocco Avena added a goal and 2 assists. For the Preds, Brendan Hoefenkrieg scored 2 goals and added an assist while Jake Guarino scored twice.
