WEEK 2 RECAP

*BMRH Weekly Recaps may contain material that may be considered offensive, controversial, or triggering to some hockey players. We write things such as "pass the puck!" or "where's the defense?!" in hopes our teams never take it personally. Our recaps are a fun way to display scores from around the league and showcase some of the key performances that occurred throughout the week. Our authors have fun creating this content, and you should too. No animals are hurt nor hockey sticks were are broken when creating these recaps. Apologies in advance for any potential typos, after all, this is being edited by a hockey players...

Nicholas Macko volunteered to play goal this time around as the Flyers win their 2nd straight. Brayden Padula recorded 6 goals and Lucas Senicola finished with 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) as the Flyers move to 3-0. At one point, the Stars were down by 6 but Domenico Cusumano and Colin Jewels both recorded hat tricks! Unfortunately for the Stars it was a little too late as they suffer their first loss of the season.

Canucks 5 - Kings 1

After the rain settled and we had an opening in the forecast, the evening at BMRH started off with a hockey game where both teams skated hard and competed from start to finish. Jaxon Reedman led the way for the Canucks earning 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist), and Mehmet Ali Cirakoglu finsihed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Paul Raimondi scored the lone goal for the Kings.

Lightning 13 - Bruins 12

To end the evening, we witnessed nothing but fireworks as 25 goals were scored in this one. Oh yeah, we also had a successful Prom-Posal (check out our social media for more details)! Lots of goals means lots of shoutouts here as Jack Purcell led the Lightning recording 7 total points (5 goals, 2 assists). Hunter Paul recorded a hat trick and added an assist and Frankie Smart finished with a hat trick. For the B's, Donovan Butler lit the lamp scoring 7 times and adding an assist. James Pelini finished with a hat trick and an assist in the loss.

Here's a fun little statistic: so far we've had 6 games in the Junior Division this Spring Season and have a total of 59 goals scored. That's just shy of 10 goals per game. What was that old saying? Defense Wins Championships! Only time will tell how this one plays out.
