WEEK 3 RECAP

Oilers 9 Coyotes 3

The Oilers dominating performance was led by Robert DiMonda, who recorded a hat trick, and a bunch of teammates who finished with a 2-point night: Samuel Dalton (2 goals), Isla Luskoff (2 goals), Velene Capri-Tilton (2 assists), and Joseph Taglia (2 assists). For the Yotes, Lucas Folchetti-Puglin recorded a goal and an assist while Jason Licht and Nikolas Kossack scored 1 goal apiece.

Ducks 8Red Wings 7

An early undefeated battle for first place, both teams entered the matchup at 3-0. The Ducks jumped out to an early edge and although the Wings scored 5 in the 2nd half, they fell just short in this one. Christopher Buckheit earned his 2nd straight win between the pipes while his a few of his teammates finished with 2 goals each: Matthew Rosman, Jackson DiPasquale, and Matthew Vlahakis. Christopher Keane led the Wings recording a hat trick while Rocco Marino (2 goals, 1 assist) and Rocco Avena (1 goal, 2 assists) both finished with a 3-point night.

Wild 6Panthers 3

The Wild earn their first victory of the season as Aiden Dwojak made a bunch of saves that kept the Cats off the scoreboard. Jacob Sterner recorded a hat trick while Jordan Daley finished with 2 goals and an assist. The Panthers Mason Kun and Jase Kavanagh finished with a goal each while Frank Figueiredo and Parker Kavanagh added assists.

Kraken 11Capitals 7

2 players, one from each team, led this high-scoring affair. The Caps Jordan Lass recorded 5 goals in the loss while John Ackermann lit the lamp 7 times for the Kraken.

Sabres 7Flames 6

In what has been, by far, the best Junior Division Game of the Season, the Sabres held on to earn the W over the Flames. Anthony Catanzarita recorded a hat trick, Luke Padula scored a goal and had an assist while Matthew Bellairs finished with 2 assists. In the loss, Donovan Butler scored twice and brother, LandonButler, recorded a goal and an assist.

Ducks 8Kraken 0

The Ducks seem to be the team to beat as they have opened the season with a commanding 5 straight wins. Matthew Vlahakis and Paul Raimondi both scored twice and added 2 assists to cap off their 4-point game. The 1st shutout of the season goes to Thomas Yucht!

Golden Knights 6Flames 5

The Flames led by 1 at the half but the Knights finished strong scoring 3 times 2nd half. Jack Purcell led the Knights with 4 goals and assist, including what led to be, the game-winner. In the loss, Donovan Butler recorded a hat trick and Ethan Cox scored twice.

Oilers 8Devils 0

Robert DiMonda led the Oilers to victory as he recorded 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists). Anthony Commisso finished with a hat trick. Quinn Miller continues his hot-hand as he finished with 2 goals in the loss.

Red Wings 16Senators 8

This recap wouldn’t be right if we didn’t first shoutout the 6 players who showed up for the Senators. Talk about effort, way to go! There was no quit as at the end of the 1st half, this one was all tied at 7. Brayden Padula led the Sens with 4 goals and 2 assists while Nolan Russo finished with a goal and 3 assists. The Wings rebounded from their loss earlier in the week and beat up on a tired and short-handed Sens team, as they scored 9 goals in the 2nd half. The Wings had a lot of individual effort as Lincoln Kelly and Christopher Keane combined for 13 goals in the win.
