WEEK 4 RECAP

Predators 12 – Golden Knights 10

What a high scoring battle this was as both teams scored in bunches. The Golden Knights were led by Robert DiMonda who recorded a hat trick. Isabella DiStephan, Lucas DiPasquale and Jayce Vanasco all finished the game with 3 points each. Jordan Lass continued his hot hand scoring 5 goals while Nicholas Taylor and Landon Gallagher each recorded hat tricks for the Preds.

Maple Leafs 4Penguins 3

The Leafs jumped out to a 3-0 first half lead and held on just enough to take over sole possession of 1st place. Superb goaltending by both Anthony Gomez and Eric Weltner. Erik Lanzer and James Pelini (2) scored for the Pens in the loss. Donovan Butler recorded 3 points (2 goals and 1 assist) while Nick Zummo and John Imperiale had the others.

Kraken 10Senators 8

The Kraken jumped out into a commanding lead but the Senators stormed back with five 3rd period goals only to come up short. Logan Maslauskas recorded 7 points (5 goals, 2 assists) while his teammate Matteo Tseretopoulos scored and assisted on 2 others. Daniel Godek gets his 1st win between the pipes this year and move the Kraken into 1st place. Christopher Mazzie led the Sens scoring 4 times while Robert Dowd recorded a hatty.

Coyotes 9Panthers 8

This was a battle back and forth as the Yotes went up by 2 with 3 mins to go. Antonio Fernandez led the way scoring 3 goals and an assist and Shayne Renyak , also ended the evening with 4 points (2 goals and 2 assists). The Panthers Matt Maran scored a hatty and recorded an assist in the loss.

Capitals 6Flames 2

Brenden Hoefenkrieg scored twice and added an assist while John Montefusco also added 2 goals to lead the Caps to victory. Nicolette Anselmo played superb and shutout the Flames in the 2nd and 3rd period. For the Flames, Bobby Michaleski and Dylan Shannon recorded their goals.

Ducks 13Sharks 10

The Ducks scored 13 unassisted goals, that might be a record for teams with the least passing, ever! John Ackermann recorded 7 goals while Alex DiStefano had the other 6. For the Sharks, Anthony Menechino scored 4 goals and had an assist while Nicholas Biagini and Rocco Marino added goals in the Sharks 1st loss of the season.  

Penguins 8Wild 6

The short-handed Wild came storming out the gate as they took a commanding 5-1 lead into the half. Jack Drew, while filling in as Wild Tendy, shutdown the Pens in the 1st half. Unfortunately, for the Wild, it’s not how you start; it’s how you finish. The Pens scored seven 2nd half goals to get the victory. James Pelini led the team with 5 goals and 1 assist. For the Wild, Ben Margulies led the squad with 3 points (2 goals and 1 assist).

Maple Leafs 8Avalanche 2

Isabelle Bjorgvinsdottir suited up to play goal for only the 2nd time in her career. If you recall, she had a remarkable playoff appearance in the Fall for her team. This time around, she played well and held the 1st place Leafs to 8 goals. Nicholas Zummo recorded a hatty while Daniel Resnick and Landon Butler each had two goals each.
