WEEK 5 RECAP
Penguins 7 Sharks 5
The Sharks fought hard and led 3-2 at the end of the 1st period. Colin Jewels led the way scoring 2 early goals. But it's going to take a lot more fight to beat this Penguins team. Jordan Lass is having an MVP type season as he recorded 5 points (4 goals and an assist) in this one. Both Frank Brown and Jackson Dipasquale both recorded 2 points in the game.
Stars 10 Avalanche 9
This division continues to amaze us all as this game was just another master piece of back and forth competition. Leading goal scorer Jack Drew seemed unbeatable as he scored 7 of the Avs 9 goals. But the Stars Matthew Maran and Joseph Adamo had something to say about it as they combined for 7 goals and assist to help put the Stars on top.
Red Wings 7 Capitals 2
This game wasn't even close from the start. Thomas Primrose finally made an appearance this season vs. the Caps and it sure showed as he kept them out of the net and out of the win column. The Wings William Gavinovich and Christopher Keane led the way scoring 2 a piece as the Wings beat up the 1st place Caps to earn the W.
Ducks 13 Wild 8
Lots of Goals recorded in this one as the Ducks remained red hot in their race to the top of the division. Logan Maslauskas led the Ducks as he scored 5 goals and recorded 2 assists. Andrew Serie had a big game as he recorded a hat-trick for the Ducks. On the Wild side of things, they were extremely short-handed but fought through. Big performances from Brian Barrera who scored 4 goals and Stephen Dalton who scored 3.
Golden Knights 12 Predators 6
Although Nelson Bautista's 4 points and Ben Margulies 3 points looked like a nice performance, the Preds are definitely missing Luke Desarno. The Golden Knights were too much to handle in this one as Jack Sarosy led them recording 4 goals and an assist. Jourdan Luskoff also had a big game recording 4 points.
Kraken 9 Coyotes 0
Kraken win, again and remain undefeated. Only a few games remaining in the season, can they complete the perfect season? A short-handed Yotes team certainly didn't stop the hot streak. Brian Justiniano led the Kraken scoring 4 times and recording an assist. Stephen Heine and Erik Lanzer continue to stay hot scoring 2 a piece. Anthony Gomez recorded his first shutout of the season.
Avalanche 7 Red Wings 6
After an impressive win over the 1st place Caps, the Wings started out the gate hot. They led 3-1 after the 1st half and led 5-2 midway through the final half as William Gavinovich scored 3 goals. The Avs played hard and fought back as Jack Drew recording a hatty and both Jeffrey Arale and Aidan Kregler recorded 2 a piece. Aidan's led to be the game winning shootout goal, no big deal!
Capitals 11 Stars 10
After a crushing loss to the Wings earlier in the week, the Caps wanted to start off fresh but that was not the case as the Stars dominated early. Anthony Menechino led the early surge scoring 4 goals as the Stars led 8-3. As the Caps fought back, Sammy Johnson added 2 goals. But the Caps kept coming back. The Luke's led the way as Luke Padula scored 5 goals and Luke Mildeberger scored 2 (and assisted on some others) to give the Caps a 1 goal lead with less than a minute remaining. The Stars Joseph Adamo scored with 7 seconds remaining to force this one into a shootout. Luckily for the Caps, Ryder Bachisin shut the door stopping all of the Stars shooters while his brother Miles and Luke Padula scored for the Caps.
