WEEK 6 RECAP

Sharks 11 Blues 8

Lots of goals in this one as the Sharks were led by Jacob Alston as he scored 4 times which included the game winner. Parker Kavanagh recorded a hat-trick which also helped lead the Sharks to victory.  Great team effort by the Blues as they had 5 different goal scorers. Matteo Tseretopoulos and Jayce Vanasco each recorded 2 goals a piece.

Kraken 9 Predators 1

Well, the Kraken finish the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record. This one was a sleeper as they continue to dominate the division. Brian Justiniano's hatty along with Brandon Bucci's 2 goals were more than enough as Anthony Gomez does what he normally does, keeps his opponents off the board. Dan Daly scored the lone goal for the Preds.

Coyotes 13 Golden Knights 1

Jake Paul scored the lone goal for the Golden Knights as they will finish the 4th seed heading into the playoffs. Nico Buglione and Connor Skewes recorded 4 goals a piece while Trent Sapienza added a hat-trick. Sam Endelson had a dominant performance between the pipes.

Sharks 8 Wild 6

This was a tight game from start to finish. The Sharks 3rd line continues to dominate this season as Jase Kavanagh led the way scoring 4 goals. The Wild battled as Brayden Padula's 4 goals and Viggo Saglimbene's 3 goals kept them in striking distance. Aiden Farraher's late goal sealed the deal as the Sharks hung on for W and are currently on a winning streak.

Stars 12 Capitals 3

The Stars continue to own the Caps this season as they have now taken over 1st place in the Division. Joseph Adamo led the way scoring 6 times while Dominick Safuto kept the Capitals out of the net all night long.

Red Wings 13  Avalanche 3

The leading scorer Jack Drew was held to just two goals in this one as the Red Wings continue to look sharp as of late. Aj Navarro and William Gavinovich led the team scoring 4 each! Impressive performance between the pipes by Thomas Primrose as he continues the league lead in goals against average.

Semifinals:

Kraken 4 Golden Knights 2

The #1 vs. #4 matchup didn't have much hype as the Kraken went an undefeated 10-0 during the regular season. When the playoffs begin, everyone has a clean slate so the pressure was all on them. Although the Golden Knights were short-handed and only had 7 skaters, they didn't go down without a fight. Both Jake and Hunter Paul logged lots of minutes only resting once or twice. Sean Irving by far played his best game of the season between the pipes. After being down 2-0 at the end of the 1st, Jack Sarosy scored twice but it wasn't enough to overcome the Kraken. Big time players step up in big games and that's exactly what regular season M.V.P. Brian Justiniano did as his hat-trick helped secure a shot at the title for the Kraken and try to complete their dream season. The Kraken also had a key performance from Nick Zummo who recorded 3 assists on the 4 goals scored.

Semifinals:

Coyotes 12 Predators 10

In what might be the craziest game of the season, well..hold on. Let's see if you agree. Semi-finals game, right? Your goalie is unable to make it. It's 4 minutes before game time and your entire team is willing to forfeit the season because nobody wants to play goalie. Unreal!!! But thanks to Cara Buglione, the Yotes season was saved. Literally! The Yotes were fired up early and led 7-0. After a 1st half timeout, the Predators woke up and battled back right up to the final minutes but the late start set them back too far as the Yotes advanced. The Preds were led by Joseph Kwarta and Ben Margulies who combined for half of their teams goals. Dylan Cochrane and Connor Skewes led the way for the Yotes as they combined for 6 goals and a few assists.

Wild 11 Blues 7

The Wild's Brendan Palmer led the way to victory as he scored 4 times while Brian Barrera recorded a hat-trick. The Blues had a solid performance from Jayce Vanasco as he recorded 5 goals in the loss.
