WEEK 6 RECAP

Flyers 6 - Bruins 4

The Flyers clinch the division and become the #1 Seed as we head into the Playoffs. This was a nail biter to the end as both teams competed and made this a very entertaining hockey game. Brady Weiner led the Flyers to victory recording 2 goals while Jase Kavanagh recorded a hat trick for the B's in the loss. 

Canadiens 14 - Jets 6

Logan Maslauskas recorded 6 goals and 2 assists as the Canadiens snap their losing streak. Lincoln Kelly scored and added 2 assists in the victory. The Jets has multiple goal scorers but Brayden Padula recorded 2 goals and Jake Seidman recorded 3 assists. 

Panthers  15 - Ducks 7

The Panthers beat up on a short-handed Ducks squad as Anthony Catanzarita logged 9 points (7 goals, 2 assists) on the evening. Jack Sarosy added 5 goals and 4 assists as well. For the Ducks, Nico Buglione scored 6 goals and tallied 1 assist. 

Penguins 10 - Blues 9

We started off Tuesday evening with an unexpected wet rink so a quick shoutout to the Coaches and Parents who helped ensure the evenings games were played. The Blues Christopher Keane recorded all 9 of their goals but it wasnt enough to overcome the all around team play by the Penguins. The Pens had 5 different goal scorers, as Nicholas Liguori led the way with 4 goals and 2 assists. Patrick Casserly followed with a hat trick and 3 assists in the W for the Pens. 

Kings 13 - Stars 5

The Kings continue their hot streak as Lucas Senicola recorded a hat trick and 2 assists. Niko Grupposo scored a goal and added an assist, and Cameron Thompson scored as well. For the Stars, Robert DiMonda led the way recording 2 goals while Christopher Taylor finished with a goal and an assist. 

Freshman Division Semifinal

Bruins 8 - Hurricanes 4

The B's advance to the finals in this absolute nail biter! Freshman Division M.V.P. Robert DiMonda scored 4 times, 3 of them being in the 3rd period to help seal the deal and pull away from the Canes. Jacob Sterner recorded a goal and an assist while Aiden Dwojak was superb between the pipes. The Hurricanes has a tremendous season and were a fun group to watch. Colin Jewels skated hard to the final shift and ended the evening with 2 goals and an assist. Cameron Ho also scored and both Luca Campana and Connor Miller had assists. 

Blues  7 - Kings 5

The Kings were finally defeated, in regulation, as the Blues pulled away late. Christopher Keane recorded a hat trick and 1 assist while Brendan Hoefenkrieg also recorded a hat trick and what winded up being the game winner. Gavin Kane had a 3-point night (1 goal, 2 assists). Leading Goal Scorer, Matt Vlahakis, was held to 3 points (2 goals and an assist) while Justin Primrose and Max Minster added goals for the Kings. The Kings finished their regular season and clinched the #1 Seed so they will have quite some time off. Do the Blues own the recipe for victory against the Kings? Only time will tell as we make the final push for Playoffs. 

FRESHMAN DIVISION SEMIFINAL

Flyers 8 - Lightning 0

Daniel Godek kept everything out of the net and earned the Playoff Shutout. Jake Cipriano scored 4 goals and Jake Montefusco recorded 3 points (2 goals and an assist) to secure the Flyers bid to the Championship Round. This ends the season for the Bolts. 

Canadiens 14 - Stars 11

All offense in this one as both teams combined for 25 total goals scored! The Canadiens earn the victory but it didn't seem to be a team effort as they only recorded 1 assist on the evening. Does anyone pass anymore? Alex DiStefano scored 11 goals for the Habs as Shane Zimmerman suited up as tendy and earns the win. For the Stars, William Gavinovich recorded 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists) and Nicholas Taylor ended with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). 

Blue Jackets 8  Ducks 6

The Ducks drop their 2nd straight as the Blue Jackets earn the dub. Shane Russo recorded 5 goals an an assist, one of those being the game-winner. Erik Lanzer returned from injury and finished the evening with a goal and 2 assists. Watch out for the Blue Jackets as their return to full strength! For the Ducks, both Hunter Paul (2 goals, 1 assist) and Joey Sculco (1 goal, 2 assists) finished with 3 points on the evening.
