WEEK 7 RECAP
Ducks 5 Sharks 1
Logan Maslauskas led the way for the Ducks as he recorded a hat-trick. Sean Hoefenkrieg and Christopher Mazzie also added goals to keep the Ducks rolling this season. Them and the Penguins are 8-1 with 1 game remaining in the season. Aiden Farraher scored the lone goal for the Sharks as their win streak comes to an end.
Penguins 11 Blues 7
The Blues hung in there with the division leading Penguins but the Pens appeared to be too much of a powerhouse earning the victory. Jayce Vanasco continued his surge to highest scorer as he recorded a hat-trick and also assisted on another. Luke Van Bell, Matteo Tseretopoulos and Brandon Carrasquillo all scored for the Blues. Frankie Smart led the way for the Pens as he scored twice and assisted on two others as well. Paul Raimondi and Brayden Ianniello also scored twice.
Stars 7 Capitals 4
The Stars clinched 1st place in the Sophomore Division with this win over the Capitals. The Stars have beat the Capitals every time but once, when they lost in a shootout. Anthony Menechino tallied 3 points (2 G, 1 A) while the Stars had 5 different goal scorers. Matthew Maran, Sam Johnson and Joseph Adamo continue to reach the score sheet every game. The Capitals enter the playoffs on a tough losing streak as they have lost 3 out of the last 4 games this season. Shayne Renyak and Miles Bachisin each scored twice for the Caps.
Championship Game 1:
Kraken 9 Coyotes 3
The Kraken become 1 game closer to an undefeated season as they took care of business in game 1. Nicholas Zummo broke out with a huge 4-goal performance while Division M.V.P. Brian Justiniano added 2 goals. Erik Lanzer, Stephen Heine and Paul Pedota also scored for the Kraken while Anthony Gomez remained strong between the pipes. Nico Buglione led the Coyotes with 2 goals but other than that, the Yotes couldn’t do much vs. the Mighty Kraken.
Championship Game 2:
Kraken 10 Coyotes 3
This game was close, for a little while but the Kraken proved why they were the team to beat all season long. Nico Buglione scored 2 goals for the Yotes but Anthony Gomez kept him out of the back of the net for the remainder of the game. The Yotes were short-handed in both games of this series but they didn’t end the season without a fight. Christopher Gregg scored his first BMRH goal. Nicholas Zummo should change his sweater number to 4 because he did it once again. Back-to-back 4 goal performances led the Kraken to the promise land of an undefeated, Championship season. Erik Lanzer and Paul Pedota added two goals each to seal the deal.
