WEEK 7 RECAP

Golden Knights 8 - Devils 4

In the final game of the regular season, the Golden Knights took care of business to finish 9-1 heading into the Playoffs. The Devils limp into the Playoffs only winning once out of their last 5 games. Robert DiMonda and Brendan Hoefenkrieg led the Knights combining for 6 goals and 3 assists on the evening. Colin Jewels scored twice for the Devils bringing his season total to 11. 

Kings 12 - Sharks 5

The Kings are riding high as they move into 1st place in the Junior Division with 2 games remaining. The Sharks tried to fight off the attack and were led by Hunter Paul who recorded 2 goals and an assist. Ben Margulies, Nick Zummo and Paul Pedota added the others. The Kings Nico Buglione continues to remain hot as he recorded 5 goals and an assist. Shane Russo recorded 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) and has now taken over the league lead in total points. Aiden Masten recorded a hat-trick while Stephen Heine added 2. 

Freshman Division Semifinal #1

Panthers 10 - Devils 7

Lots of scoring in this exciting matchup! For most of the game, it was back and forth as the Devs led early and continued to hold on. Colin Jewels led the way recording a hat trick while Will Terjesen added 2 goals. However, the mighty Panthers scored 7 goals in the 2nd period and never looked back. Key performances by Matteo Tseretopoulos who recorded 5 points (4 goals and an assist) and Matthew Foresta who ended up with a hat trick and an assist. The Panthers are moving on to the finals! Special shoutout to the Devils Jacob Sterner. Jacob is 6 years old and went from participating in our Learn to Skate clinics to playing Goaltender, in the Freshman Division Playoffs. Way to step up Jacob and take one for the team 

Sabres 5 - Lightning 3

After trailing 2-0 at the end of 1, the Sabres bounced back to earn the victory. Brenden Russo led the way scoring a hat trick and adding an assist. Edward Kraus and Matthew Rosman scored the other Sabres goals. After receiving POW honors last week, Mile Bachisin continued his hot hand scoring twice and recording an assist. Rocco Avena also added a goal in the loss. This is going to be some Playoffs matchup, next week! Tune in to see who moves on to the finals.  

WIld 13 - Flyers 4

The Wild were dominate in this one as they head full steam into the Playoffs. Starting Goaltender Matt Vlahkis got the night off (from playing Tendy) and decided to break out the offense of skills as he recorded 4 goals and 2 assists. Nicholas Urso was between the pipes for the Wild and did his job to secure their 8th win of the season. Thomas Yucht (2 goals) and Lincoln Kelly (1 goal) also scored for the Wild. Marco Milack gave it his all in the loss as he recorded all 4 of the Flyers goals. These teams meet up again, next week, as the winner moves on to the Championship.
