WEEK 8 RECAP

Avalanche 10 – Senators 2

Jayce Vanasco earns the victory for the Avs between the pipes. Frank Brown (1 goal, 2 assists), Tyler Moshes (2 goals, 1 assist), John Roche (2 goals, 1 assist), and William Gavinovich (2 goals, 1 assist) all recorded 3 points in the win. Aidan Kavanagh led the Sens with a goal and an assist.

Predators 9 – Red Wings 4

The Preds have been battling all season long and have fought through adversity to finally get their first victory of the season. Brendan Hoefenkrieg recorded a hat trick and added an assist while Brian Barrera finished with 3 points as well (2 goals, 1 assist). Sean Hoefenkrieg made some tremendous saves during a 1 goal game mid-way through the 2nd half. The momentum shifted and his teammates responded. The Wings were led by Christopher Keane who recorded 2 goals giving him 37 this Spring.

Ducks 11 – Capitals 4

Matthew Vlahakis recorded 8 points (5 goals, 3 assists) to help lead the Ducks to their 9th win of the season. Michael Liguori scored and had an assist while Paul Raimondi got the victory between the pipes. The Caps Jordan Lass scored twice and had an assist.

Golden Knights 8 - Canucks 2

James Pelini recorded 2 goals and 3 assists, and Nico Buglione recorded 4 goals and an assist as the Golden Knights win again. Colin Hite and Christopher Gregg scored for the Canucks.

Senators 10 – Kraken 7

After dropping their last game, the Sens starting tendy, Niko Grupposo, was back between the pipes, and the Sens were back to their winning ways. AJ Navarro led the way recording 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists) and Aidan Kavanagh recorded a hat trick. For the Kraken, Logan Maslauskas scored 5 goals and recorded an assist, in the loss.

Golden Knights 10 – Flames 6

Collin Roulston 3 goals, 3 assists), and James Pelini (2 goals, 3 assists) lead the Golden Knights to the Championship as their all-around play helped take care of business in this semifinal. Donovan Butler recorded a hat trick and 2 assists while Joseph Adamo recorded a hat trick in Flames finale.

Predators 6 – Senators 4

The Preds win their 2nd straight, and 2nd of the season. If there is ever a time to get red hot, the time is now, as we enter the playoffs. Brendan Hoefenkrieg recorded a hat trick and Sean Hoefenkrieg made some key saves to keep pucks out of the Preds net. Dominick O’Malley added a goal and 2 assists. The Sens were missing some top scorers and just came up short but what a season they have had Nolan Russo recorded 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist), and Christopher Taylor finished with 1 and 1.

Avalanche 9 – Kraken 1

Matthew Laico and Frank Brown both recorded hat tricks to lead the Avs to victory. Haven Cevallos scored the lone goal for the Kraken.The Avs have now won 2 straight while the Kraken have dropped their last 2.
