The Wld advance to the Semifinals. For the Blues, Jayce Vanasco recorded 4 goals and Matteo Tseretopoulos added 2 as the Blues season comes to an end.
Championship Game 2:
Red Wings 6 Avalanche 5 OT
The Avs Jack Drew was held to only a hat-trick, sounds funny right? "Only a hat-trick" but this kept the Wings in it. Anthony Foglia and Jeffrey Arale also scored for the Avs. AJ Navarro and Patrick Casserly recorded 2 goals each. Christopher Keane scored a big goal in regulation to get the momentum back on the Wings side and then later added the game winner in OT. We witnessed tremendous goaltending from Charles McMahon and Thomas Primrose. This series is now all tied up!
Semifinals:
Penguins 15 Sharks 4
This one was all Penguins, from start to finish. The Pens 1st line had a dominating performance as they recorded a total of 10 goals (Jordan Lass, Paul Raimondi, Frankie Smart)! Sofia Anselmo and Jacob Alston scored for the Sharks making them have goals in each of the Sharks post-season games this season. For the Pens, it's on to the Finals.
Championship Game 3:
Avalanche 6 Red Wings 5
Division M.V.P. Jack Drew led the Avs with 5 goals. Just like in Game 2, the Red Wings didn't go away quietly as they battled back to make this one interesting. AJ Navarro added his 2nd goal of the game followed by Patrick Casserly's goal, all assisted by Christopher Keane. Even after Vincent Catalfomo's empty net goal, the Wings still batted and scored with 10 seconds remaining. What a season it's been in this division, congrats to the Avs as they take the title.
Semifinals:
Ducks 6 Wild 3
The Wild battled the #1 Seed Ducks for most of the game but the Ducks pulled away. Logan Maslauskas recorded a hat-trick while 3rd liners Teddy Hogan and Sean Hofenkreig scored as well. Lucas Senicola scored twice for the Wild while Brayden Padula scored and added an assist. The Wild really came on this season and played some of their best hockey over the course of the last few weeks. As their season comes to an end, the Ducks move on to the finals and face the Pens.
