WEEK 9 RECAP
Sophomore Division Finals - Game 2
Sabres 3 - WIld 2 OT
The Sabres complete the sweep and upset the Wild in this overtime thriller. This game was an absolute chess match from start to finish as we witnessed end to end action all game long. The Wild were led by their 2 scoring leaders as Christopher Keane and Patrick Casserly put 2 goals on the board. Matthew Rosman scored the 1st Sabres goal and who else but Brendan Russo added the 2nd and later scored off an offensive zone face, in overtime, to seal the deal for the Sabres! It's been quite a while since a #3 seed took home the cup. Matt Vlahkis and Dominic Safuto made tremendous saves all night long and both tendies had an awesome season in between the pipes.
Blackhawks 9 - Sharks 6
The Sharks might have just played their best game of the season as they battled back and forth with the Hawks from start to almost the finish line. The Blackhawks eventually pulled away to move one step closer to the #1 seed. Hunter Paul recorded 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists) while Jake Paul recorded a hatty. Brian Justiniano recorded 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) on the evening and Aidan Victorio scored twice and also added an assist for the Hawks.
