WEEK 9 RECAP

Sophomore Division Semifinals

Jets 7 - Kings 5

The 5th Seed Jets take down the #1 Seed Kings in the 1st Semifinal of the evening. Jets Goaltender, Jayce Vanasco, played superb between the pipes and stole the show. Jake Seidman, who only had 4 goals during the regular season, had a breakout performance for the ages, and recorded 6 goals on the evening. Brendan Palmer finished with a goal and 2 assists while Robert Dowd and Brian Barrera recorded 2 assists, each. Prior to the start of the game, the Kings Matthew Vlahakis, received this seasons M.V.P. Award. He had another awesome game scoring 4 goals and adding an assist, in the loss. The Kings had an outstanding season but just came up short in the 1-game playoff.

Sophomore Division Semifinals

Canadiens 6 - Blues 5

The Habs one-two punch of Alex DiStefano (4 goals) and Logan Maslauskas (2 goals, 1 assist) led the team all season long and they were too much to handle in this one. The Blues played well all season long and fought to the final seconds coming up short in the 1-goal loss. Christopher Keane and Brendan Hoefenkrieg each recorded 2 goals and an assist.

Junior Division Semifinals

Ducks 6 - Blue Jackets 5

Nico Buglione recorded 5 goals, including the game-winner as the Ducks move on to the Finals. The Blue Jackets Shane Russo recorded a hat trick and 2 assists while Erik Lanzer finished with a goal and 2 assists. This was a great game but the Jackets season comes to an end.

Sophomore Division Finals - Game 1

Canadiens 7 - Jets 5

Logan Maslauskas recorded 6 points (3 goals and 3 assists) while Lincoln Kelly finished with 3 (2 goals, 1 assist) to seal the deal for the Habs and take Game 1 of the series. The Jets Jake Seidman recorded a hat trick and added an assist while Brayden Padula scored twice and assisted on another. Quick turnaround here as Game 2 is in less than 24 hours!

Sophomore Division Finals - Game 2

Jets 5 - Canadiens 4

Jake Seidman scored two second half goals to give the Jets some cushion but in the final minutes, the Canadiens tied it all up! Logan Maslauskas completed his hat trick and Lincoln Kelly scored with 1:12 to go. We were all tied at 4, until the Jets, Brayden Padula, launched a wrister from the slot giving him a hat trick, and a Jets victory with less than :25 seconds to go, in regulation.

Junior Division Finals - Game 1

Ducks  9 - Panthers 1

After tying the season series 2-2, this game was the matchup of the week. By the sound of the final buzzer, we weren't sure what happened as the Ducks came out with their foot on the pedal, and never looked back. Nico Buglione recorded 6 goals and 1 assist, while Joey Sculco (2 goals, 1 assist) and Hunter Paul (1 goal, 2 assists) ended with 3 points each. Thomas Primrose kept all but 1 shot out of the net and is 1 win away from his 1st BMRH Championship. Still a lot of hockey to be played but we are sure to expect a different Panthers team, next time around.
